Barriere Interactive Gaming the online casino software company announced recently that they are in the latter stages of designing an online casino game. However instead of being played on a computer as usual the game will be designed to run on game consoles.

Barriere Interactive have been in talks with Sony and Microsoft, hoping to launch the new game on their Xbox and PS3 platforms.

Although the game will be ready to launch in March 2009, an agreement has not yet been reached as both Microsoft and Sony are reluctant to accept the game due to ethical issues.

The large gaming companies are worried that the new online casino game may find its way into the hands of minors, who are not of the legal age to play at an online or land based casino.

Both Online Casinos and land based casinos do thorough checks in order to stop minors from playing within their casinos, however the chances of a casino game falling into the hands of a minor is more likely when on sale in games console shops.
