Roulette is one of the most popular casino games. Since its invention in the 18th century Roulette is one of the most traditional casino games available to play. Tables can be found in every casino, most high street bookies and on every online casino site. The simplicity of the game is part of its attraction with the outcome determined solely by luck. Roulette has now grown into online sites allowing users to bet online with the aim of winning money. Money is exchanged for chips and these are then placed on any of the 36 numbers on the board. 18 of these numbers are red and the other 18 are black.
Players can also bet on each third of the roulette table, specific lines, odd or even numbers and various other combinations. Once the chips are placed on the board, the roulette wheel with 36 numbers is spun which contains a metal ball. Once the wheel stops spinning the metal ball will land on a specific number.
If you placed a bet on this number you will win 36X the amount you bet on the number. For example if you bet a £1.00 chip only on number 11 and the ball fell on number 11 you would win £36.00. You can also place chips over two or four numbers, for example 12 and 11. This is done by placing the chip over both (or all four) numbers on the roulette board. If the metal ball lands on number 12 and you placed a 20p chip on covering both 11 and 12 you would win £1.80 (18/1) All the other bets on numbers will be lost. Many Roulette players spread their bets across the table so they cover as many numbers as possible and minimize their losses.
Roulette is great fun but can be extremely addictive, so make sure you know your limit and don’t throw money away.
