Games based on people’s favourite TV shows or film characters have always been a hit when played at online casinos, even comic book heroes and game shows have made an appearance!

That’s why a new deal has been struck between Freemantle media and MGM, resulting in even more great themed online casino games based on everyone’s favourite films are about to be launched!

New game offerings will include MGM movies such as: Fame, Stargate, Robocop, a fistful of dollars and the good the bad and the ugly. Freemantle media gaming and MGM interactive will together be designing the games for non US players.

Freemantle Media’s head of ventures, Paul Kanareck, said that the company wants to become a leading publisher of branded games. Freemantle has been growing their presence in the gaming market by acquiring a minority stake in Ludia (an interactive games developer) and that they’d now like to take a further step into online gambling.

Freemantle media already operate successful online casino games based on hit TV shows The price is right and the X factor. They have also just launched their first interactive immersive downloadable game based on American Idol. The company is set to launch a further game based on Baywatch in late 2009.

Further developments in the pipeline for the company include iPhone applications in addition to PC and console games.
